Meet Tiffany

What is your name (and social handle)?

Tiffany

Tell us about you! Where are you from? What do you do for a living?

Born in Philadelphia, but was raised in Southwest Florida. Found my way to Ohio after a quick stint in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Most of my adult working life has been spent as a professional photographer, and more recently I landed in the Commercial Insurance world. I am a huge Cleveland Cavaliers fan, cat lover, foodie, and mental health advocate.

How did you get into running?

2019 was the year that almost broke me, and I needed something to help with my mental health. I had friends who were always posting about races, and I thought that was something I should do. So I signed up for my first 5K, and even though I walked that first race I never looked back. I’ve participated in over 30 races since then and now my significant other has joined me and we love doing races together.

Tell us about your biggest running successes, and/or running goals.

Biggest accomplishment so far was completely the National Interstate 8K last year before they shut the course down! Right now my goal is to be able to get across the finish line at my first half marathon that I am signed up for in August.

If you could go on a run with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Gordan Ramsey, I feel like he could motivate me to go faster. Especially if it’s anything like the way he is in the kitchen lol.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?

I love checking out wineries or new restaurants, gardening in the summer, or just hanging around the house.

Where is your favorite spot to vacation, or somewhere you would love to travel to?

Loved my visits to Seattle but my dream vacation is a cruise to Alaska.

Name a book that everyone (running related or not) should read.

I recently read The In Between by Nurse Hadley, it was a feel good read.

Favorite food:

Pizza, I could eat it everyday!

A genie grants you three wishes. What would they be?

A Second bathroom in our house, be debt free, and to be able to retire early to travel.

What is your best advice for fellow runners?

I don’t feel like I’m at the point in my journey to be giving advice yet, as I’m still looking for all the advice on how to make myself a better runner.
