What is your name (and social handle)?
Stacie Hall @staciehall
Tell us about you! Where are you from? What do you do for a living?
I grew up in Las Vegas, NV. Went to college in WV and now live in Stow, OH.
How did you get into running?
My dad! My dad was a fantastic runner. He got me into it when I was 5 and have been running ever since.
Tell us about your biggest running successes, and/or running goals.
Ahh so many! My biggest would probably be 2011 I had a complete spinal fusion due to Scoliosis. I had surgery on 11/11/11. The Doctors told me I would never run at the same level again. I came back to run that next track season, received a running scholarship in college and completed my first marathon last September. Don’t ever let anyone tell you, you can’t do something.
If you could go on a run with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Ryan Hall. He has always been someone I have looked up to in the sport. His knowledge about the sport, the way he carry’s himself and the things he has accomplished. Would be a dream.
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
Somewhere sunny and warm with a bevy in my hand!
Where is your favorite spot to vacation, or somewhere you would love to travel to?
Anywhere warm!
Name a book that everyone (running related or not) should read.
Ahh not running related, Open Book by Jessica Simpson was incredible. Running related, I would say The Longest Race by Kara Goucher.
Favorite food:
French Fries with homemade Ranch.
A genie grants you three wishes. What would they be?
Ahh I don’t know… that’s a hard one.
What is your best advice for fellow runners?
Forward is a Pace. We all have bad runs and they humble us but what you do next, sets you apart. Lace up your shoes the next day and get after it. Do not compare your running journey to someone else’s. Even a training partner.
