What is your name (and social handle)?

Tell us about you! Where are you from? What do you do for a living?
I’ve lived in northeast Ohio my entire life. I graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School and then went on to Kent State to get my bachelor’s degree in accounting. I also have my MBA with a concentration in Finance from Ashland University. I currently live in Cuyahoga Falls with my boyfriend and cat, and I work for a property management company where I work as a property accountant.
How did you get into running?
I grew up playing soccer, but never loved to run. In college my friend convinced me to sign up for a color run 5K and I was hooked! The following year she had me signed up for my first half marathon and it was all down hill from there. I’ve since completed 20+ half marathons and 4 full marathons.
Tell us about your biggest running successes, and/or running goals.
Breaking 2 hours in the half marathon in 2017 is one of my favorite running memories. I haven’t done it since and would love to break 2 again this year. My dream goal is to qualify for Boston, and maybe dabble with the triathlon one day.
If you could go on a run with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Ali Feller from the Ali on the Run podcast! She seems so fun and like the miles would fly by!
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
I love to do my long runs on my day off and then spend the rest of the day reading a good book and relaxing.
Where is your favorite spot to vacation, or somewhere you would love to travel to?
I would love to go back to Europe. Greece, Italy and Spain would be dream destinations.
Name a book that everyone (running related or not) should read.
Anything written by Sarah J Maas. I’ve never been more obsessed with a book series than her Throne of Glass series.
Favorite food:
Mexican Food!
A genie grants you three wishes. What would they be?
1. My cat will live forever.
2. I would never have to do laundry again. My clothes would just magically be cleaned and put away.
3. Can run without ever being injured.
What is your best advice for fellow runners?
Take your easy runs easy! I never used to follow this and would always be so burnt out by the time race day came around. Now after a race I can’t wait to get back into my routine and continue training.
