I am from Akron born and raised. I am an RN that cares for high risk patients in their homes. I have been a nurse 37 years.

How did you get into running?

When my son started running cross country in high school I started to take an interest. I would run 3 days a week maybe 2-3 miles. I would run alone and at night because I didn’t want anyone to see me.

Tell us about your biggest running successes, and/or running goals.

The fact that I let running and believing in myself is a success in itself. I think my biggest success is when I fell an fractured my left elbow on a training run and then ran the Akron 1/2 marathon 6 weeks later. Over the years I have become more confident and consistent in my running. I would like to run a 30 mile race this year and plan on more trail running and races.

If you could go on a run with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

My husband. He used to run and race and was quite fast. He no longer runs due to MS but I think it’s be awesome to share our day and see if I could beat him!!
